It seems like art has always been a part of my existence.   From elementary school where I would do paintings or illustrations of some subject we were studying to large course related murals in middle school for extra credit and then to even being a student teacher in high school where I was fortunate enough to have artwork selected two consecutive years for placement in international art exhibits.  My yearbook says "Hopes to be an architect or a commercial artist".

As life evolved with its twists and turns and as a young man trying to figure out where he was going, my art ambitions often wavered but not for too long.  Working in the printing field it was realized by management that I "could draw" and through some great mentors I ended up as a graphic designer, eventually winning numerous awards, then later as an art director and then finally as the National Art Director for Publications for the dominant wildlife agency of the Federal government.  This gave me access to other passions of mine...wildlife and the environment.

I have been fortunate throughout my life to have had many mentors who saw my talents and helped me pursue them that have opened many doors for me.

In retirement, I have tried to reawaken my fine art skills dabbling in pastels, acrylics, oils and watercolor.  Attached are a few examples of my endeavors.  I hope you enjoy them
